Whispers in the Circuit Board

Outlined by raw meniscus tear,
The undefined shadows
Of her body’s pulse,

I gave in to circular nondisclosure,
And beat my wings
With nothing naked underneath.

As Heaven unveiled my bride,
I remembered Whitman’s fall,
And gave myself discreet surrender;

As the walls came crashing in.
