My Scab

I gave away everything.

And God gave me an analogy,
Floating through the atmosphere,
Her changes sucking away my breath.

I can’t complete a sentence,
Without your face
Bombarding me.

Your beauty,
Like a warm Summer wind,
Flattening the hair against my face.

Your brutality,
Beating its way
Into my pulse.

Like a flier,
Changing direction.

I see you and I sail Eastward.
